Agility consists of an obstacle course to navigate your dog around. There are jumps and tunnel, weave poles to weave in and out and larger equipment to climb over.
Agility is suitable to start for most healthy dogs. I wouldn't recommend for long backed or giant breed dogs. If you have an energetic dog and want to burn off some of that energy then agility is for you. Agility is also great for building confidence.
To start agility training dogs should be between 10 months and 8 years and be in good health.
Dogs should have a recall and for group classes be able to work of lead around other dogs
Agility is suitable for all owners, you don't need to be physically fit as we can teach your dog to navigate the course from a distance. So if you would like to meet like minded people whilst having fun with your dog then agility is for you.
There are lots of benefits. Agility is great for mental and physical stimulation for the dog and is also good for building confidence and independence. For owners they get to spend time in the fresh air with like minded people.
Hoopers is made up of several obstacles that you need to direct your dog around.
Hoops and Tunnels, barrels and a mat, it's great fun. Don't worry if you can't run, the aim of hoopers is to direct your dog at a distance.
Hoopers is a fun sport where we direct the dog around an obstacle course of hoop, barrels, tunnels and mats. A key element of hoopers is distance, we get the dog to do all the work!
There is no jumping or tight turn in hoopers, making it suitable for all dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes.
Suitable for dogs from 6 months, it's a low impact sport, so as long as dogs are happy to go for a walk, they should enjoy hoopers.
Dogs need to have a recall and be able to work off lead around other dogs for group classes.
Hoopers is suitable for all owners, we teach our dogs to do all the work, making hoopers equally suitable for less physically able owners.

12 levels of tricks to work through.
Talent Dogs International is a trick training program, with 12 levels to work through and stickers and certificates to earn, it will keep you busy for a long time.
Talent dogs is suitable for all dogs once they have had their vaccinations.
Talent dogs can all be done on the lead and is low impact making it suitable for all ages and breeds, dogs need to be comfortable to work in the vicinity of other dogs for group classes.
Talent Dogs is suited to owners that want to learn something fun and increase the bond with their dog and that can be practiced anywhere.

Easy to practice at home.
Teams of 4 dogs race over 4 hurdles, get a ball out of a spring loaded box and return over the hurdles.
Dogs need to be able to work closely with other dogs.
Flyball is a fun fast and furious team sport.
Dogs need to be physically fit. It is suitable for most dogs, but I wouldn't recommend for very long backed or giant breeds. If you have an energetic dog and want to burn some energy then flyball is for you.
To start flyball dogs should be in good health and between 10 months and 8 years

Trail Hunt is a fast growing new scent sport, it can be practiced anywhere and on your own or with friends.
All dogs love to use their nose. As long as they can walk a reasonable distance then they can do trail hunt. Trail hunt is suitable for all ages and breeds.
Can all be done on a long line so also suitable for dogs with a less than perfect recall.
Dogs will still be around other dogs and people in group lessons so need to be comfortable with this.
As we progress we travel over increasing distances on mixed and often un even terrain, if this is an issue please contact us to discuss so we can adapt where possible.

Teach your dog to search an environment for a specific odour and indicate to you where it is.
All dogs love to use their nose. Scent detection is done in smaller areas than some scent disciplines, making it more accessible to less mobile dogs. Scent detection is suitable for all ages and breeds.
Is all done on a lead so also suitable for dogs with a less than perfect recall.
Dogs will still be around other dogs and people in group lessons need to be comfortable with this.
If you wand to have fun with your dog with like minded people then scent detection is for you.

We teach the dog to find a person, so they should be comfortable with this.
Dogs will still be around other dogs and people in group lessons so need to be comfortable with this.
Man trailing requires traveling over varied terrain for up to 1km, please get in touch if this would be a challenge to see if we can adapt to suit.

About Me
I currently own 5 dogs. A kelpie, 2 kelpie X's, a collie and a cocker. We compete in agility, hoopers and flyball as well as training trail hunt and tricks.
I am passionate about people having fun with their dogs and provide something for all. I am an accredited Canine Hoopers UK instructor, A member of Enigma Canine Scentwork Partnership and an approved Trail Hunt International and Talent Dogs International Instructor.
FAQS
For trick training and nose work we take dogs from 16 weeks,
For hoopers they need to be 6 months
Agility and flyball its 10 months, we won't be doing any jumping until at least 12 months.
Some sports are all done off lead.
Whilst you work on recall I would suggest either Talent Dogs or one of the nose work disciplines as these can all be done on lead.
Can I have personalised training?
Of course, all disciplines except for Man trailing and Flyball can be delivered as 1-2-1 lessons
